Made Thought
Made Thought is a London-based design studio founded in 2000, with studios in both London and New York. What draws me to this agency is their focus on using design as more than just something visual, but to shape how people think and feel. Their approach feels very intentional, with a strong balance between creativity and strategy. They aim to create work that is not just aesthetically strong but also has meaning and purpose behind it.
A range of their projects across brand identity, culture, technology, and purpose-driven sectors really grabbed my attention. Their work for brands like Mother Science and The Capston shows how they can build full brand worlds that feel consistent and well-thought-out. The work feels refined and minimal at times, but still carries a strong concept behind it, which makes it more engaging.
I have been inspired by their use of typography, layout, and colour. A lot of their work uses restrained palettes and clean compositions, which makes everything feel considered and intentional. It doesn’t feel overdesigned but still has a strong identity. This is something I want to bring into my own work, especially in how I balance simplicity with concept.
